Ingredients:
- 1 pack phyllo dough or strudel pastry
- 400 g cottage cheese (túró or ricotta as substitute)
- 2 eggs
- 80–100 g sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Zest of 1 lemon (optional)
- 2–3 tbsp sour cream
- 2–3 tbsp semolina or breadcrumbs
- 50 g melted butter
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, eggs, sugar, vanilla, lemon zest, and sour cream.
- Add semolina or breadcrumbs to thicken the filling.
- Lay out phyllo dough and brush each sheet lightly with melted butter.
- Spread the filling evenly along one edge.
- Roll tightly into a log shape.
- Place on a baking tray and brush the top with butter.
- Bake for 25–35 minutes, until golden and crisp.
- Let cool slightly before slicing.
