Ingredients:
- 500 g green beans (fresh or frozen)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp oil or butter
- 1 tsp paprika (optional)
- 1 tbsp flour
- 200 ml milk or sour cream
- 500–700 ml water or broth
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tsp vinegar or lemon juice (optional)
Instructions:
- Heat oil or butter in a pot and sauté the onion until soft.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add green beans and stir well.
- Pour in water or broth and simmer for 15–20 minutes until beans are tender.
- In a small bowl, mix flour with milk or sour cream until smooth.
- Stir this mixture into the pot to thicken the stew.
- Add paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Cook for another 3–5 minutes until creamy.
- Add a little vinegar or lemon juice if you like a slight tang.
