🇭🇺 Hungarian Kifli Cookies (Kifli / Crescent Cookies)

🧾 Ingredients

  • 250 g flour
  • 200 g butter (cold)
  • 100 g sour cream
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Pinch of salt

Filling (choose one):

  • Apricot jam or
  • Ground walnuts + sugar + milk

For topping:

  • Powdered sugar

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Mix flour, salt, sugar, butter, egg yolk, and sour cream into a soft dough.
  2. Chill dough for 30 minutes.
  3. Roll out and cut into triangles.
  4. Add filling at the wide end and roll into crescent shape.
  5. Bake at 180°C for 15–20 minutes until lightly golden.
  6. Let cool and dust with powdered sugar.
