Christmas Walnut Crescent Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 200 g unsalted butter, softened
  • 100 g ground walnuts
  • 50 g powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

For Coating:

  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, ground walnuts, powdered sugar, and salt.
  3. Add the butter and vanilla extract, then knead into a smooth dough.
  4. Roll small portions of dough into short logs and shape them into crescents.
  5. Place the crescents on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  7. Let the cookies cool for 5 minutes.
  8. Toss the warm cookies in powdered sugar mixed with vanilla sugar.
  9. Allow to cool completely before serving.
