Hungarian Decadent Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:

Cake:

  • 200 g all-purpose flour
  • 200 g sugar
  • 75 g cocoa powder
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 240 ml milk
  • 120 ml vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 240 ml hot water

Chocolate glaze:

  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 100 ml heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line a cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
  4. Slowly add hot water and stir (batter will be thin).
  5. Pour into pan and bake for 30–35 minutes. Let cool.
  6. Heat cream until warm (not boiling), then pour over chocolate and butter.
  7. Stir until smooth and glossy.
  8. Pour glaze over cooled cake and spread evenly.
