Hungarian Decadent Chocolate Cake
Ingredients:
Cake:
- 200 g all-purpose flour
- 200 g sugar
- 75 g cocoa powder
- 1½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 2 eggs
- 240 ml milk
- 120 ml vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 240 ml hot water
Chocolate glaze:
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 100 ml heavy cream
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line a cake pan.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- Slowly add hot water and stir (batter will be thin).
- Pour into pan and bake for 30–35 minutes. Let cool.
- Heat cream until warm (not boiling), then pour over chocolate and butter.
- Stir until smooth and glossy.
- Pour glaze over cooled cake and spread evenly.
