🇭🇺 Hungarian Cabbage and Noodles (Káposztás Tészta)
🧾 Ingredients
- 300 g egg noodles (or wide pasta)
- 1 small head cabbage (about 700 g), grated
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 tbsp oil or lard
- 1 tbsp sugar
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
👩🍳 Instructions
- Cook noodles in salted water until tender. Drain and set aside.
- Heat oil in a large pan and add sugar. Let it lightly caramelize.
- Add onion and cook until soft.
- Add grated cabbage and salt.
- Cook for 25–30 minutes, stirring, until cabbage is golden and caramelized.
- Season with plenty of black pepper.
- Mix cabbage with noodles and serve hot.
