Christmas Walnut Crescent Cookies
Ingredients:
- 250 g all-purpose flour
- 200 g unsalted butter, softened
- 100 g ground walnuts
- 50 g powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
For Coating:
- 100 g powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, ground walnuts, powdered sugar, and salt.
- Add the butter and vanilla extract, then knead into a smooth dough.
- Roll small portions of dough into short logs and shape them into crescents.
- Place the crescents on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until lightly golden.
- Let the cookies cool for 5 minutes.
- Toss the warm cookies in powdered sugar mixed with vanilla sugar.
- Allow to cool completely before serving.
