🧾 Ingredients
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 250 ml warm milk
- 25 g fresh yeast (or 7 g active dry yeast)
- 50 g sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 60 g butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Oil for frying
For Serving:
- Powdered sugar
- Apricot jam
👩🍳 Instructions
- Dissolve yeast in warm milk with 1 tsp sugar. Let stand for 5–10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, salt, egg yolks, vanilla, melted butter, and yeast mixture.
- Knead until a smooth, elastic dough forms.
- Cover and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Roll dough to about 1 cm thickness and cut into rounds.
- Cover and let rise again for 20–30 minutes.
- Heat oil to 170–175°C (340–350°F).
- Fry doughnuts for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve with apricot jam.
