🍄 Hungarian Mushroom Soup (Gombaleves) 🇭🇺

🧾 Ingredients

  • 500 g mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp butter or oil
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 750 ml vegetable or chicken broth
  • 250 ml milk or cream
  • 1–2 tbsp soy sauce (optional)
  • Salt & pepper
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Sauté onion in butter until soft.
  2. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until they release liquid.
  3. Stir in paprika and flour.
  4. Slowly add broth, stirring to avoid lumps.
  5. Simmer 10–15 minutes.
  6. Add milk or cream and soy sauce.
  7. Season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
  8. Serve hot, topped with fresh parsley.
