🧾 Ingredients
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 250 g butter (cold or softened)
- 200 g sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 packet vanilla sugar (or 1 tsp vanilla extract)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- Zest of 1 lemon (optional)
- 1 jar apricot jam (for filling)
👩🍳 Instructions
- Mix flour, baking powder, sugar, vanilla, salt, and lemon zest.
- Add butter and egg yolks, then knead into a soft dough.
- Divide dough into two parts and chill for 20–30 minutes.
- Roll out one half and place in a baking tray.
- Spread a thick layer of apricot jam on top.
- Grate or crumble the second dough layer over the jam.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30–35 minutes until golden.
- Cool completely, then cut into squares.
