🧾 Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken thighs or drumsticks
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil or lard
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp Hungarian sweet paprika
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 250 ml chicken broth
- 200 ml sour cream
- 1 tbsp flour
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
👩🍳 Instructions
- Heat the oil in a large skillet or pot and sauté the onion until soft and golden.
- Remove from heat and stir in the paprika.
- Add the chicken and garlic, then return to medium heat.
- Pour in the chicken broth and season with salt and pepper.
- Cover and simmer for 35–40 minutes, until the chicken is tender.
- In a small bowl, mix the sour cream and flour until smooth.
- Stir the sour cream mixture into the sauce and cook for 2–3 minutes, until slightly thickened.
