🇭🇺 Hungarian Chicken Paprikash Pasta
🧾 Ingredients
- 500 g chicken breast or thighs, diced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp oil or butter
- 2 tbsp Hungarian sweet paprika
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 250 ml chicken broth
- 200 ml sour cream
- 1 tbsp flour
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 300 g egg noodles or pasta
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
👩🍳 Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat oil in a large skillet and sauté the onion until soft.
- Add the chicken and cook until lightly browned.
- Stir in garlic and paprika, mixing well.
- Pour in the chicken broth and simmer for 15–20 minutes until the chicken is tender.
- In a small bowl, mix sour cream and flour until smooth.
- Stir the sour cream mixture into the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Toss with the cooked pasta or serve the sauce over the pasta.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
