🧾 Ingredients

  • 500 g chicken breast or thighs, diced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp oil or butter
  • 2 tbsp Hungarian sweet paprika
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 250 ml chicken broth
  • 200 ml sour cream
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 300 g egg noodles or pasta
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet and sauté the onion until soft.
  3. Add the chicken and cook until lightly browned.
  4. Stir in garlic and paprika, mixing well.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and simmer for 15–20 minutes until the chicken is tender.
  6. In a small bowl, mix sour cream and flour until smooth.
  7. Stir the sour cream mixture into the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  8. Season with salt and pepper.
  9. Toss with the cooked pasta or serve the sauce over the pasta.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
