Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon dried cactus pads (nopales), food-grade and cleaned
- 4 cups (1 liter) filtered water
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 4–5 fresh mint leaves
- Ice cubes (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the dried cactus pieces if needed.
- Add the cactus, lemon slices, and mint leaves to a large pitcher.
- Pour in the filtered water.
- Cover and refrigerate for 4–8 hours, or overnight.
- Remove the cactus pieces before serving if desired.
- Serve chilled over ice.
Notes
- For a stronger flavor, let the mixture infuse overnight.
- Add cucumber slices for a refreshing variation.
- Store in the refrigerator and consume within 2 days.
